REPORT ON A COMENIUS MEETING

Apart from them, there were 7 (4 Polish, 3 Spanish) students. All the students stayed with host families. They followed the same school schedule with the host students. Living with the Turkish families during their stay helped them to improve their communication skills and learn about customs of Turkish families. They also had the chance to taste the Turkish food. Most important of all, they made new friends.
During the stay, the group visited different historical and cultural places. As the host country, we took our partners to the restaurants where they could taste traditional Turkish food.
Then teachers have worked at the detailed plan of the activities and products which will be developed with students at school. One afternoon was devoted to this and everyone took the responsibility of the part of the research which they have to carry out. The group discussed the following:

As a result of the discussion, the group decided the following;

2. A Comenius corner in each partner school will be prepared.
3. The coordinating country asked the partners to create a website for the Project. It’s discussed by the partners and Turkey took the responsibility.
4-5. It was stated that each partner would send a travelling box including new year cards, 2013 calendar, flags and traditional items.
6. It was mentioned that the communication would be done in the Project working language English, through e-mail, yahoo group and mobile messages. All the e-mails and materials would be posted to yahoo group.
7. The coordinating country shared the SWOT analysis with the other partners. Samples of the questionnaire were distributed. It was agreed that each partner would apply it in their own school.
At the last session of the discussion, a post visit feedback questionnaire was applied to the partner schools by the host country in order to learn about the impressions.
